Wondering how long until my gf will be able to shoot her Browning 1911-22.
Bought from a retailer in BC, we live in BC.
Anyone jump through that hoop lately?

Now at a week for a transfer from a retailer in Manitoba...I fully expect a couple more weeks. If it happens sooner I will be surprised. If it takes longer than 3 weeks I won't be surprised in the least....and that's kinda sad.

It seems the ones that the dealers do go through a lot quicker then the private ones do. I have waited as long as 5 weeks for a private one but the last private one only took two weeks so hopefully they are getting better. A far cry from 1 to 3 days like it used to be here in BC.

Im on week 6 for a private deal.. Buying from dealers has taken 2 weeks consistantly

My retail transfer last month started Feb 21 and completed Mar 5 (Wanstalls). I bought a buckmark last Friday (Mar 15) from Reliable and i expect it to take about the same time (~2 weeks). It's nice to see others who are trying to get their significant others into shooting as i bought the Buckmark for my wife to shoot. I can't wait to shoot affordable ammo, 9mm through paper seems like such a waste. Have fun with your new toy... when it gets there!

Bought one from my local retailer and the transfer was approved in 3 hours. He also had the Statt with it and I picked it up that same day.

Bought 1911 from CGNr about 4 weeks ago, still waiting approval.
Bought NP29 from Frontier 2 weeks ago - approved yesterday.

Someone needs to school the BC CFO to process from the bottom of the pile first.
Frustrating, but better late than pregnant eh?

Was that in BC?

I had a transfer started Mar 14 from a dealer. I called today and they estimated it would be done sometime next week.

She claimed that they process them in the order they are received. That can't be true based on what is reported here.

phone them every day!!!! I was told that my transfer was going to be 2 to 3 more weeks ( after 2 weeks waiting ) phoned back the next day and 10 minutes later it was done. Good luck and lets hope this improves soon
