bc transfer time

I have been waiting for about 3 weeks for a transfer from a business. I called today and got right through. They put me on hold for a few mins and completed my transfer. I got the STATT emailed to me so I will be picking up my new pistol tomorrow. Thanks to the people who recommended phoning in this thread. Who knows how long I would have been waiting.

On day 28 I called in to check on the status of my BC to BC transfer. Lady on the phone says it is still with the provincial CFO. I ask what the hold up was and she said BC transfers can take up to 4 weeks to complete. Well I said today is day 28 so can you put me through to the BC CFO office. Was on hold for 20 min and finally got through. They approved my transfer and I got a TN and STATT by email 10 minutes later. Who knows how much longer it would have taken if I hasn't ask to talk to someone from the BC CFO.

I think the CFO is ok... It's her cronies I dislike. What the #### do they even do if they say its the CFO who
Has to approve everything? That one poor lady does all that and what do those other people do exactly?
They should be allowed to approve to lessen her workload if its so much.
Seriously man, i am getting tired of this nonsense. Short term att is
The stupidest idea ever created.

When people say "the CFO has to approve it" they don't actually mean that the CFO herself does them all, she does the approval thru her delegated staff. I've phoned in regarding a slow transfer and the fellow I talked to did it on the spot but it is still done in the name of the CFO.

Their ####stem is messed up when squeaky wheels get it done faster then the guy who waits patiently.
From 1-3 days to a month makes no sense!
I emailed my MP last week and asked for some info but he hasn't responded yet.....

Bought a pistol thursday, Friday they have the transfer started, called in and got a hold of somebody who got my LTATT done on the spot. Called Today(tuesday) and they processed the transfer on the spot. I think it is all luck of the draw on who you get. Now for it to be shipped and to get an STATT to trasport it the literal quarter mile from the post office to my house since Canada post doesn't deliver door to door here.

bought a pistol from BC yesterday (private), transfer took less than 24 hrs, pistol is in the mail on my way.
