BCL 102 buyers remorse

.308 guys, what can I expect for a $/round cost if I buy 500 or 1000 at a time?

Still new to this game and seriously considering the .308 for a do everything gun...

Minimum .60c/ round for the norinco stuff. That's the cheapest you can get right now. If you reload, you can do 50-65c/Rd depending on components used.

Any NR rifles are useless in Québec with the registry.

I buy restricteds AR in all calibers because the only way to shot in Québec is at the range and they cant bug you with a restricted.

You can usually find a few brands of ammo at will sell for about $400/500 "all in"...meaning shipping/taxes included.

KEEP YOUR BRASS!!! ...even if you don't plan or want to reload, you can sell it for a decent price and put that $$$ towards ammo again!!! :p

BCL now just has a bad reputation. That's what happens when you put out a product with QC issues. A friend of mine has one, it's terrible and now I'll never buy a BCL. Sorry not sorry.

They've had that reputation since they started selling rifles to civilians as NEA. Boggles my mind why guys still spend money on their products.

I'll continue to upgrade my BCL (mine has be great so far)...next item will be a carbon fiber barrel.

If my 6061 receiver over time and use becomes a limiting factor I can always buy another brand and transfer all upgraded items.

Time will tell but my guess is that all will be just fine.

After a solid six months of watching and lurking in the shadows seeing the threads on this topic...

Just “pulled the trigger” on a Stag purchase. Sorry BCL.

Nice!!! You will love it!!!

Just give it a once over...make sure everything is tight (gas system related) and clean it well....then oil it and work the action while watching a movie to smooth it out (are tight when brand new) and it should run problem free for you!!!

Remember that AR platforms like to run WET!!!
