Had my BCL 102 out the other day and the bolt was getting stuck. It appears that the feed lips and lugs are very slightly misaligned causing the bolt to stick. Wanted to remove front hand guard to see if I can recenter the barrel nut. For the life of me can not seem to separate the front hand guard. I am new to AR platforms and can’t seem to find any advice online or here.

Thanks

I think mine is a Gen 2. Second or third pre-order. I can’t tell if barrel is loose. Seems tight. It has never jammed up like it did and the bolt was partially stuck. With a good pull it released then after a few rounds jammed again. It took only took a real hard pull and bolt released. When looking at the chamber you can see the chamber lugs/slots are very slightly off center and causing the bolt lugs to bind a bit. After seeing a BCL having out of battery incident I don’t want to have one. I finally got it working after gas rings and extractor replaces now this. Frustrating.

I have hit it 100 times with rubber mallet but moved about a mm. Trying hard not pry the receiver and hand guard.

You will not be able to rotate the barrel on receiver if that's what you're trying to accomplish. The extension on the barrel will have a little pin that is supposed to align to receiver, if the barrel is not aligned then the extension is off or the slot in the receiver is soft and turner. Who knows. Id talk to BCL before playing with it as I recall owners were blamed by BCL for over torquing barrel onto receiver and causing it to deform

BCL has a pdf on this...

I added a space to the address after the https

Send the gun back in.

I inspected the barrel when I first read about the out of battery detonation and it was 100% aligned. At that point the thing was a jam-O-matic. Replaced the gas rings, extractor and finally got it running good for a couple of range tests and took down a nice 2 point during hunting season. Then took it out the other day and had the bolt jam a few times. When I inspected agin it appears the barrel lugs are slightly off center but very little and seems that the bolt lugs are slightly binding. Again once clean it seems fine. I just don’t want to blow it up in my face and don’t really want to send it away either especially since the problem is intermittent. At this point I don’t have much experience with these types of rifles. I guess I will email BCL and see what they say. Sucks as almost every time I have had it out something goes wrong with it. Very frustrating.

Same as anything, if you arent sure dont #### with it unless you're prepared for consequences. Email them and see what they say. Lots of dealers are saying that they are a different outfit now under new management. Never know you might get a mk7 as replacement

Finally sent email and Hailey responded in a few days and rifle has been sent back to BCL. Will update what they do. This is my second warrantee inquiry and so far the service seems decent and reasonably fast. Received a prepaid shipping label same day as response email. I asked if there was any buy back or option to get into the MK7 and it seemed this was not an option. Hoping for the best.
