Since my BCL is a stove pipe king. BCL sent me some parts that they claim will fix my issues like an extractor and new precision cut gas rings. I put the new gas rings on but they must be slightly bigger as the bolt will not slide back in. I was very careful not to expand them during install. Any help is appreciated.

I could not find much info on people installing the warranty parts for BCL stove piping issues. For those interested I tested the rifle today with approx. 100 or so rounds with a variety of different ammo. Was shooting fairly close at approx. 60-70 yards.
-Federal Gold match: excellent 5 shot groupings size of a toonie or less
-Norinco 150gr: good groupings not as good as match grade but surprisingly good and finally cycled well.
-Winchester 180gr soft points hunting ammo:shot 5 rounds 2 fliers not the best groups only had a few rounds to try
-Igman 150gr soft point hunting ammo: 2 sets of 3 round groups similar to norinco ammo for groupings and was pleasantly surprised and would consider hunting with them.
-Barnaul 150gr: this stuff is the worst ammo I have ever shot. Finally it cycled but barely. No stove pipes and groups were good enough for plinking but the shells practically fell out of the gun and sounded inconsistent with the odd one with more power than the others.

In short had 2 fail to feed in 100 + rounds but blame Barnaul for the issue. All others cycled well and finally felt I had a good day with this thing!!

After 400 or so rounds through the rifle I have now noticed a few issues worth noting:
- C-products 10 round pistol mags do not have a lip at the front of the mag to protect the bullet tip from destroying the feed ramps in the soft aluminum in the BCL upper. The ASC pistol mags do and work with our issue in my BCL.
- Buffer tube retainer pin is bent. Not sure if this is a common thing but pretty sure it will break at some point.
- Previous to the gas ring replacement the stove pipes have caused a bit of cosmetic damage to the upper. Not a huge deal but it shows how soft the receivers are made of.
- My firing pin retainer pin is very lose and bent for some reason.

Any input on my findings is appreciated. This was a day in the bush and not at a range. I am far from a precision shooter and did not measure out any MOA. I was impressed on the BCL accuracy though.

Check BCL inspection notice to be sure the barrel extension is not out of alignment before you get a KB and destroy the 102. Then get rid of the riffle and go for the Stag 10. That’s my history with this product

I checked indexing and all is good. If the rifle continues to work as it did on the weekend. I think it is still a keeper other than the bent retainer pins. I think the buffer retainer pin was bent during assembly as I don’t see how contact is made when the upper and lower are together.

Any issues with the federal gold match firing off when you hit the bolt catch letting the bolt slam forward? And how long did it take to get your repair kit from BCL? I'mean still waiting.

No issue with the gold match firing off. I have only shot 40-50 rounds of it though. Took around 1.5 weeks maybe 2 from when I sent the claim in to BCL.

I replaced the extractor, ejector and gass rings as well as a new BCL supplied charging handle for mine that broke. I put about 80 rounds of hirtenberger with a couple stove pipes, 10 rounds of Winchester grey box that was terrible and had brutal accuracy. Gonna load up some 168Gr SMKs and some 175 gr Berger hunting VLDs and some Accubonds and see what kind of cycling and accuracy I can get. Have to work up a load for hunting season ( I have a couple Fudds I hunt with sometimes, this thing should bug the sh!t out of them :))

Gotta clean it and lube it up good, run it nice and wet and see if I can get it cycling 100%. The new rings, ejector and extractor made it 98.99% better so far

What serial number range are your rifles in, out of curiosity.

I keep reading about reliability issues. one Would think that after 4000+ rifles produced it would be sorted out.

Still waiting on a replacement for my #3xx that was lemony fresh from day 1

Mine was #2262. It’s in the scrap bin now.

Just got mine back. They were supposed to replace the rifle, but it’s the same ODG PoS I sent in, with a new barrel and the same old everything else.

I'm going to name this thing, which I rarely do with guns.

The Green Bastard, Of Parts Unknown.

Seems appropriate.

Maybe it’ll surprise me this time..
