BCL-102 grip screw cross thread?

Has anyone had an issue with their 102 grip screw cross threading? How did you fix it?

I tried installing a ergogrip and the screw wants to cross thread and I can’t seem to correct it.

helicoil or drill and tap one size larger

Helicoil...or take the grip off and thread it in a few times and see if that works.

Clean up the threads in the hole with a proper size tap.

It has to do with the farther bcl back strap is not the correct angle if u are uses the ergo irh the large beaver tail.
The ergo is designed for a milspec lower.
Had this issue on a few types on lowers.
Go with another grip

Ran into the same issue. It wasn’t cross threaded. I needed to use a couple of washers. Then it worked perfectly. Add a washer or two into the grip between the ergo grip and the screw head. Place ergo grip (careful not to bend springs) drop a washer or two into the open bottom of the pistol grip. Then place in the screw and tighten. Screw head tightens into the washer which in turn compressed against the pistol grip. Worked perfectly after that.
