BCL 102 issue/question wirh bolt

I have a gen 2 and the bolt doesn’t seem to stay open very well after you lock it open. If I tap the Handguard with my hand it slams closed. Seems a little touchy to the point that I wouldn’t be comfortable sticking my finger inside when the bolt is locked open.
Is this normal?
 
Remove the upper and insert the mag. Examine how the Bolt Stop interfaces with the mag and follower.

Check if the Bolt Stop is properly seated with the mag.

Does it have any issue with the upper removed? Ie. does the bolt release seem firmly seated?

If this checks out ok then it could be the shallow cuts in the Bolt Carrier placing upward pressure not allowing full engagement of the Bolt with the Bolt Stop.
 
How many different magazines have you tried it with? Does it do it with all of them? Is it better if you lock it back manually with the charge handle and the bolt catch?

If it doesn't hold open properly after locking it back manually or with numerous magazines I would contact BCL and explain the issue to them. They will either send you a new bolt catch or ask you to send it in for repairs.
