BCL 102 pre sale 3

SFRC will feel it too....they seem to spend an awful lot of time hyping these guys up, making excuses etc.

Ryan is their distributor. I would assume they make up the majority of his income. I feel for him through all this, he's a great guy.

I don't hype them all the time and I pass on the information they pass on to me.

Last month I was amazed by all the Canadian rifle makers stepping up and offering amazing rifles that were exactly what I wanted. Just because an American company finally stepped up and decided to take advantage of our lucrative market .

Hahahahaha you realize the Stag10 was designed before the BCL right...lol... There's a reason why so many people are selling them at a steep discount. They were charging top dollar for entry level rifles, we all knew this going in but they were the only game in town so we paid the NR tax and built cool rifles.

My 102 worked perfectly, But I rather have a stripped set from a reputable company.

It was only a matter of time before it happened, would hope they were planning on this

Honestly, I'm surprised it took this long for something to come out. We figured the Badger would be 75% of sales by the late summer...the release of the Stag obviously creates more competition in the market but we've been pumping out about 75+ guns a week rather steadily. Individual and dealer orders are still steadily coming in. Expected production for the next 30 days is close to 300 guns and we have close to 800 on order with dealer.

Competition is always good for the consumer. Businesses have to adapt or die (figuratively).

Given the small firearms market in Canada, pretty much any new entry (especially in the NR realm) is always welcome.

Now, if only someone else would make/import something like the M10X, but without all the bullsheet (actual or made up, doesn't matter, the results are the same).

As a business I never mind gun competition. Would I prefer it wasn't there, sure, who wouldn't. When someone buys a new gun they need to buy accessories, mags, optics, ammo, cleaning supplies while the own the gun. These things are purchased all over the country...online, walk in, etc. We've sold over 1500 BCL102's which means that 1500 people have probably purchased an optic, rings ammo, extra magazines, etc from someone. I'm sure 1000's of 18.6" AR15 barrels and LPKs were also sold for the to make MacAbee SLR's. Without new product the industry will slowly die. BCL has lots of stuff in the pipe but the machines are helping catch up on 102 productions. You'll see a 556 firearm, a 7.62x39 one that takes AK mags, a 338 LM one plus a few other interesting firearms.

... a 7.62x39 one that takes AK mags,

OooOoooo... please do tell :)

Also, even if another business 'steals' a product category with a new offering; as Ryan states, there are SOO many accessories for these guns that I'm sure it benefits every business in the industry. I'm also fairly certain that you guys make a helluva lot more $$ on accessory sales than actual rifles/guns!

They don't make up the majority of my income by any means. The extra income from them doesn't hurt but we're diversified across the board and I own other companies that aren't anything to do with the gun industry as well.

I think most any dealer will tell you that there isn't a lot of mark up on a firearm. I wish there was but it's not the case. There is always the odd exception but it's rare.

How many parts of that rifle are made in the USA?

No parts in the 102 are made in the US. The only parts not made in Canada are the handguard screws, pistol grip, castle nut and receiver end plate. Everything else is made in Canada except the gas tube...I never asked about it.

338lm!

I am happy with my 102s so far. Will see how they hold up long term. Just wish they were anodized instead of painted. With that said have a stag set on order.
