Just noticed afew pictures of the 5.56 rifle on the BCL website. Also noticed their new intro video which is pretty polished.....maybe punching alittle above what their reputation would justify but that may yet to be seen. No mention of it being NR but it does list a 18.5" barrel as an option, the 102 doesnt mention anything about its classification either. Anyways looks pretty nice, the square'ish profile on the upper leading into the handguard looks sharp but really not that different from the 102 aesthetically. Big difference in that its piston not DI.....Any takers for a pre-order :)
 
I wouldn't jump on any pre-orders for anything from BCL. Let them build them and ship them out to retailers so we can inspect them prior to buying.
Weren't there enough problems with the 102 to cure people of these silly pre-orders?

This for me, just reading about nea q.c. and BCL pre-order stuff. Also the whole BCL is still nea for q.c. and fit and finish.

I too will be waiting for them to build and ship to retailer to see one before I lay down my cash.

Fyi the only pre order I've ever jumped on has been the maccabee defense slr receiver set and I bought two.
 
I doubt they would offer shorter barrel lengths if it was to be NR. Most likely just another restricted. The 102... er... Catamount? Offers only the 18.5” barrel length.
 
If it's NR I am definitely interested. There are so many neat firearms coming out lately I feel like a kid with 5c in a candy store! I don't know which one to get! I just want them all!

Pretty sure its a new rifle, I dont believe that they had ever made a piston AR under the NEA badge. Also I thought that they were hinting that is was going to be NR in one of their press releases awhile back but that could be just wishful thinking
