Hey all,

Anyone else have issues with gen 2-3 Pmags not ejecting. Its likely from the rivet but not 100% sure.
I have 8 Pmags all purchased years apart and from different stores.

If its the rivet, what has anyone done to fix the issue?

Cheers,

You can have a look inside of your magwell, the marking should tell you which part of the mag is dragging. If its the issue of the rivet, make sure it has enough meat for you to trim.

Pmag gen2 is known to be a bit fatter, and M3 should be slimmer.

Most of the non-us made rifle using stanag 4179 mag will have tighter magwell, since they are designed for aluminum stanag mags. If you still have issue, try aluminum or stainless mags from reputable company: colt, elander, FN, ASC, surfire, ext

And yes, there are unknow brand of metal mags which does not meet stanag 4179 standard.

It is the gen 3 pmags period, that will not eject, independent of the rivet.. Something to do with the magazine catch and the depth of the pocket where it clicks into the magazine housing. Rivet or no rivet, gen3s will not eject.

You can verify this, if you remove the extended mag release button, in order to increase the range of motion on the mag release (button hits the receiver), you will be able to eject the gen 3s.
