Bcl coyote no frt

Could you elaborate on "FTS's are not needed for non restricted firearms made in Canada"? I've been wondering about this.

Is it only firearms made in Canada?

Why would a company like ATRS even submit to the RCMP if their product is non-restricted?

What is to prevent Canadian manufacturers to build receiver sets 'similar' to the ATRS MS or MDI SLR and then not submit them to the RCMP, thus keeping them from being classified?

Thanks in advance!

I have always tried to be a law abiding citizen. The SFSS maintained that to make, sell, trade or have a firearm in Canada it needed to have an FRT, which in fact turns out to be an outright lie.
That being said the push back from guys when we started to take orders for our Modern Hunter because we did not have an FRT# to produce was ridiculous.

In actuality we never did have to submit a sample or get an FRT, but because I am wanting to try and work within the laws, did. In hind sight I would not do that again.

Yea BCL complied to the max without a fight.

The gave up is what they did !

Many vendors here decided to fight back, we all know them and should make a special effort to support them by either giving money to their challenge and/or buying from them.

NEA/BCL always played the "canadian rifles for canadians", many on here supported them even thru there most shady years, guving them money lemon after lemon. They apparently got their act together towards the end, still getting money from canadians that supported them... and BCL just bailed out as soon as the Coyote was banned under the table like many other firearms.

While many vendors here either started a challenge or raised money for the cause, BCL just abandoned ship and left those who supported them over the years in the dust. When the OIC is struck down by the Court for being so poorly written amongst other reasons and BCL makes a come back on the Canadian market, I hope we will collectively remember how they acted in the face of adversity and let them sink.

If I am wrong and BCL is actually fighting this, please let me know

Maybe if they had not taken such a hammering on the BCL102, including people from this forum who never even owned one, they might have been a bit more inclined to protest. Support is a 2 way thing and some people on this forum seem to have short memories and are not capable of grasping this fundamental concept......

The guys that purchased NEA knew or should have known what a steamy pile they were buying. from what I have seen of the most recent offerings by BCL were they were better but still plagued with problems. It is a harsh world, even more so now so maybe they elected to take their losses whilst they were not great?
One thing for sure is that packing you bag and moving on certainly solves all the warranty issues.

They are still open for exporting firearms...can’t see why they wouldn’t honor warranty on their product once this BS is overturned
