$1199 is a lot for a pistol made by BCL. I know we don't have many options left but about 75% of the NEA/BCL guns I have owned had major issues and needed warranty/smith work to get them running right. I would not bet $1200 that these are going to be different.

It's pretty much their own lower frame (not sure about trigger assembly) and everything else is off the shelf parts if I remember correctly. It can't be that bad but then again it's a Gucci Glock at this point. SS could've been had around that price when that one retailer had that awesome wicked deal on them.
 
Glad BCL is bringing this out. All folks who don't have a pistol and don't want to spend 5k on a gun post ad. Buy from MS. Good people there.

I'd buy one but Im completely tapped out for a few months. lol
 
Curious to know how the alloy frame transmits recoil. From my research, polymer has flex and steel has density to work in your favor, while alloy frames offer neither. Other than a cool look (and that it's still available in this crazy market), does this frame bring more to the table that I don't already have with Glock or Shadow Systems? I'm tempted to buy, but need to know if it fills a niche or am I just giving in to novelty. Thanks.

P226 and M9 seem to work fine.

In my experience, plastic guns have way more felt recoil than metal guns.
A flexing frame does nothing for recoil and is probably bad for accuracy. It's mainly about the weight of the gun.
I would prefer a metal gun over plastic any day.
Not sure about aluminum, though, with steel-enhanced contact points.
Apparently it's "slightly" heavier than a comparable plastic frame.
