BCL102 Range Review, SECOND RANGE TRIP POST 123!!!

thanks! i'm defiantly going to look into a raptor charging handle as well. The FDE looks better in person than in the photos.
However I already talked to my cerekote guy, gonna be leaving the receiver FDE and do the parts/furniture all in Patriot brown.
Once I decide what grip and stock I want.

I have a bunch of goodies ready to put on mine (more on the way)with the raptor charging handle being one of them. The one thing that pissed me off is how they had the one side longer than the other to clear the forward assist. I found a symmetrical version that pleases my ocd from CanAm.

Well, finally, congratulations Driller! Was it worth the anxious waiting?

Now, you have got me thinking about when that second batch might start rolling out

Glad you got it in time to shoot this long weekend! Congrats! And...

Congratulations!

Thanks folks! It was definitely worth the wait. It is a lot of rifle for the money I will tell you that! Gonna try to smooth out the stock trigger and perhaps switch out handguards tonight if I have the time.

Good day at the range today, 37 rounds zero malfunctions.

If I can't come up with a load I like I can use the 165 Federal Fusions

These two are going in the right direction. The bottom one is my best from this rifle so far.

driller212, noticed that you had another forend in your video. Any chance you can see if the threads on the receiver will work with DPMS threaded nuts/forend?

Not sure if anyone has determined compatibility with aftermarket forends and barrels yet?

Thanks

Jerry

It is supposedly compatible with armalite forends. If not I have a dpms threaded forend as well I can try.

If you can confirm what fits, that would be great. I have a DPMS barrel extension coming up.. hopefully, can confirm if that fits this receiver.

Jerry

I tried but discovered that the bloody muzzle brake gets in the way of getting off the gas block. I am going to do some range testing this weekend, then I will try to strip her down (not sure if my barrel nut wrenchs will work or not, but it looks like the DPMS one I have should). I have no experience indexing muzzle brakes but I assume if I make some pencil marks before removing it I should be good to go.

Went out to range last night and I am pretty sure I will be able to get this to shoot 1 moa. Shot 50 various rounds all flawless. Recoil is very mild, trigger sucks. It really likes federal match 168's and hates nosler custom 165 accubond. Shot about 10 3 shoot groups ( I know they don't count). Half were about 1 inch (all the federals were) other varied 1.5 to 2 except nosler which was about 6. I did do one 6 shoot group with federal and 5 were in 1 inch the 6th was lonely at 2 inches. Overall I think it will be ok.

I managed to squeeze out some decent groups tonight before it got dark. Not 5 round groups but I am still running factory gritty trigger. I was trying to clear some beavers off my dad's land and took out a few and then set up a pallet and some targets.

I'll post some more details later when I get home, but my impromptu 120 yard range.

And Federal Gold Medal Match 168! Holes touching at 120 yards.

Bombsquad68, yours is the first posting I've seen on here that actually shows any accuracy potential from this rifle. Just goes to show the rest of them what happens when you spend a bit of money for quality ammunition. Too many people expect output without any input
