BCL102 Range Review, SECOND RANGE TRIP POST 123!!!

I should mention the Hornady group was shot by my old man and I have no idea how confident he was in the trigger pulls. I'm definitely going to go out again and try again, do a few more after work when I can.

I'm an inexperienced shooter compared to a lot of you guys so I don't think it'll be hard to replicate these groups. I think I can do better with a better trigger as well, but it's still in frigging customs thanks to UPS Mail Innovations.

Right now gun just has a Lantac Dragon brake, Geissele Super Charging Handle, Magpul Moe + Grip, Zeiss 4-12x50 and a Vortex Mount.

I have a bunch of goodies ready to put on mine (more on the way)with the raptor charging handle being one of them. The one thing that pissed me off is how they had the one side longer than the other to clear the forward assist. I found a symmetrical version that pleases my ocd from CanAm.

Nice, that will give you a good long day of shooting. Assuming you are shooting for accuracy of course!

thanks! yes, im almost hesitant to even shoot with this trigger, as I really cant wait to get my 3lb trigger in it.
all my rifles are a good 2-3lbs so not sure if that will affect
my performance, but ill give it my best.

Try Riflechair's trick. With your lower seperated from the upper, pull upwards on the hammer while pulling the trigger (but don't let the hammer hit the receiver freely). Do this 20-30 times. You will notice the grit is nearly gone. Keep going cautiously checking your trigger as you go. Once it is smooth you are done. You now have a half decent trigger. I did this without paracord, but what he does in this video is the gist of it.

I did this to mine. It did not get rid of creep, but got rid of the grit and it has a nice clean break. It is good enough that I will not be upgrading the trigger.

good video thanks for the share!
for me its the creep that I cant get used to. honestly the trigger feels pretty decent yes a bit gritty but
I don't care for the slack. reminds me of my glock which I still cant shoot well =(

Practice will solve that. Slow consistent pull. Practice pulling it a lot so you know where the trigger breaks. Once you know where it breaks you can make sure your sights are aligned when the firearm discharges.

When shooting a pistol you want the middle of the tip of your trigger finger to be on the trigger, not your joint. Otherwise as you pull the trigger it will pull to the right. Again slow consistent pull while focusing on your sights until it discharges. Once you master that you will be able to shoot any gun with any trigger well. This has been my experience, and how I was trained to shoot.

Black Creek Lab's BCL102 is my favourite new rifle, and my favourite new beer is Black Creek Historic Brewery's Rifleman's Ration Brown Ale...

Coincidence? I think not! :ar15:

love that mount with that scope!!!
thanks driller, I just need more practice with pistols, def not my forte.
I finally got my ATRS bolt gun where I want it, 10 shots all within a 2$ circle. just loves 168 Amax. Im hoping my new
NEA will fill that gap as they both are damn near almost the same weight! (having said that I don't need nor expect 1/4,1/2,1 moa)

Pistols are by far the most difficult type of firearm to master shooting well. They exaggerate everything that is wrong with your technique, so they are the best to practice and improve on because you will notice the results.

Nice! 1MOA or a little under would be amazing in my opinion.

I finally got my BCL 102 this morning thanks to Driller 212, who drove down to TSE the other night. I am happy, and again many thanks to Driller who is most likely putting rounds through his right now. It should be interesting to see this report later.

Overall impressions so far are good. I am not too fusses about the trigger, that will work itself out in time. The fit and finish are good. If anyone hasn't noticed, and I can confirm it as I spent the last hour cleaning mine, these have been test fired. Well at least mine has as there was brass residue on the bolt face and carbon and powder residue in the chamber and the barrel was a little dirty. This is good to know.

The only thing that I will change in the near future (before I go to the range) is the butt stock. This is merely a "me" thing. I do not like the feel of it.

Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this rifle.

But this rifle does feel quite a bit different from my ArmaLite! A lot lighter, it might have something to do with the barrel being a different profile. This ought to be a lot of fun to shoot. I cant wait.
