BCM KMR-A rail out

I just picked up a new KMR-A 13 at the red deer shooting centre today when I seen they had some left as well as a QD BCM keymod stubby vert grip. What a lovely rail though, I didn't even know it came with a QD swivel and keymod picatinny section, score BCM! Theres alot lf value in the KMR-A it has to be one of the best deals available for a rail right now. I love the Noveske NSR but its too bad Noveske doesn't give you jack #### with the NSR.

Just a heads up for KMR owners. After disassembling/reassembling my KMR (swapped on uppers and maintenance) I noticed the barrel nut starts to peen ever so slightly, like barely noticeable, from the wrench after torquing it to BCM specs. Enough so that it will gouge the inside of your handguard. Don't be surprised the next time you remove it to find very fine silver shavings around the nut.

Hey CTCS, are you planning on bringing in any V7 titanium barrel nuts for the KMR from Rainier? :)

Pics?

I have a 13" KMR I bought from CTCS a while back and love it. I also have the V7 titanium barrel nut (among some other v7 parts). This setup with all the mounting hardware only weighs a total of 6.8oz! And its very strong. Very happy with it..These new ones look great too. Good deal as well.

I should have taken pics but I had grease and oils etc on my hands and didn't want to handle my phone. There are 4 nice deep gouges about 1.5" long on the inside walls of my handguard. I don't think it's a big issue right now and hopefully it hasn't weakened the integrity of it. I took an 8oz ball peen hammer and lightly tapped it flat before reinstalling the handguard. Next time I disassemble that AR, I'll definitely pick up that Ti one from CTCS.

For the person who will install and leave it as is, this is a non-issue.
