BDM 50rd Drum mag fix?

I picked up a Black Dog Machine 50-round drum mag for my SR-22, and I'm having a lot of trouble getting it feed reliably.

Every 4 or 5 shots, one of the rounds will feed at about a 45 degree angle and get rammed into the breech right above the chamber.

I've been using Federal and Winchester ammo - should I be using different ammo, is this a common problem with the mags, or is there a fix?

Same here...
Me and my friend were experinceing the same problem at the range today but it was with this 10/22;

I thought that this was only a 597 problem?
