Bear bait Attutude

I don't have an answer to those close minded individuals.

Ps- don't let any bears come up your stand this year eh......and if it does, take lots of pics

Amen to that.

When I think of what happened last year and what I've learned about stand hunting bears over bait since, I just shake my head.

Wife bought me my own camera so ther'll be pics coming in short order.

The new bait barrel is almost done and I have about 100 gallons or so of frying oil ready to go. Now I have to find a farmer who'll sell me some oats:D

As for the wing nut who finds my hobbies distasteful, instead of taking him out or arguing with hm, I decided to take out another friend of mine who wants to go out and loves arguing with the bait hater. This way I get to take a friend out who appreciates the outdoors and the wing nut gets an earful without me breaking a sweat.

Without breaking a sweat???

Who is doing all the work with the bait then???

The not breaking a sweat part happens when we gets back and I don't have to argue because the friend I take out will do all the arguing with the wing nut.

We'll be sweating buddy. especially after building that new bridge.

I don;t have an issue with baiting, especially if it gives you a better chance at looking the animal over before deciding to take it-and also if it helps ensure a clean kill[relatively close, taking a rest, and picking your shot]One of my fears especially when spring bear hunting is shooting a sow with cubs-we have spot and stalk in BC and I always try and watch the bear to ensure their are no cubs around. This is not so hard when the bear is on open ground-cubs can readily be seen, but harder when the bear is in cover
