What did you use to secure the cross-members to the trees?
I've heard from a few people about stands built with timbers like that. The wind causes the trees to move and over time, the spikes or screws that anchor the frame work loose.

It does look like a pretty decent set-up.

It's just spiked/nailed together.

I don't expect it'll last past this year, for the reason you mentioned. If it's a good hunting spot, I'll build a "one tree stand" next year.
