Is it bad to have bear coming to my deer hunting spot?

I've had some people telling me it's bad, so others telling deer don't care...

What's the truth?

I hear that alot....Not sure though..We have shot bear, and deer of the same chase without issue...I have seen more of an issue when moose where around.

Opinions will vary on this one I'm sure I've had bear walk under my stand while bow hunting and 20 min later a doe amd fawn not 5 yds from where the bear was they live the same areas all the time just makes the deer more cautious if they catch the bear scent if ya Like bear meat buy a tag !!??

The guy who owns the camp I hunt black bears at lets us hunt bears whenever we can. He practically begs us to come and bring guys.

He is certain that it will benefit his deer, and moose season. The less bears, the more moose and deer on his property, according to him.

Works for me. ;)

Black bears and deer often share the same habitat; seeing a bear pass through won't reflect on your chances of success where there is a healthy population of both. If however the area has an inordinate number of bears, the deer might be inclined to move away. In south eastern Manitoba I've seen both bear and deer in the same area on the same day.

I have a sow with 3 cubs and a large male that frequent my spot.

I also have numerous deer that frequent the same spot.

The only thing I have yet to see is both there at the exact same time. From my experience, photos, videos and time spent there, having them co-exsist is a non-issue.

I do have a bear tag if the big male decides to show up although my priority is white tail.

Deer live with bears ALL the time. I think if a bear was present, a deer would avoid the area, but if no bear was actually around, the deer will not care one bit.
