Crap, saw the other threads that begin with "Bear defense while..." and instantly the wheels started turning. Mine are of the more mundane. Reading a book, waiting for the bus, washing hands....
 
If you prefer the patio section of restaurants at night, you should always keep a compact shotty on hand. since carrying my .44 mag is illegal, ive decided to buy a Fabarm 14" for my girlfriend to keep in her purse or something. also very useful if you lock your keys in your car (I think thats what the breaching muzzle thing is for).
