thank you for your kind words,Ted.it really feel good to get compliments from two of my most admired cgners like your self and Boomer.
no,but I don't have much shooting skills, I just had my composure and was not afraid of to pull the trigger before it kissed my muzzle.
as for bear spray, I am very much believing that it was invented or at least promoted by anti hunting groups to disarm Hunters. see,you have effective bear spray, so you are not supposed to have guns. that is their trick

its not just the shot placement you made but the conditions you made it in

and yes i also think bear spry was made by some PETA the stuff has alot less OC content then the stuff for humans

I hiked the chill coot trail a few years ago and had SEVERAL real close encounters with bears over a 3 day period. I returned to my campsite on the Canadian side after dinner to find a mom and cub eating blue berries right next to my tent and pack with the bear spray clipped to it. Mom nugded the cub up a tree and i fired off a bear banger and backed away.

I came back in 15 minutes and they were gone.
