I want a double rife with full length picatinny rails and scout scopes over each barrel. Or maybe aimpoints? Discuss.
Personally, I'd go with Aimpoints that co-witness the Scout scopes, with both being co-witnessed by the irons - you know, just in case.

When I go out I carry a small sized condom and keep it over my index finger. If a bear attacks I shove my arm down his throat until my index finger protrudes out of his arse. I then bend my finger and pull like hell. This turns the bear inside out so he'll run off in the opposite direction.
The condom is to prevent bear crap from getting under my fingernail. Cleanliness is next to Godliness

Well I am continually evolving in my remote area defense guns.
I still have all of my guns that I posted near the beginning of this thread but I have been leaning more and more to short/light/single shot carbines this years defense gun is my 14" barreled T/C Contender carbine in 45-70 loaded with 350gr - 430gr WFNGC's.
My eyes are shot so need optics after messing around with 1X Leupold Prismatic to 2-7x Compact I have settled on a Leupold VX2 1-4X scope.
I would not hesitate to shoot anything including moose out to 200 yards with the 350gr combo.
Yes I would want a grizzly to be closer but these little Contender carbines are so accurate that I could easily put a 350gr bullet thru the lungs of anything at 200 yards.
