I can remember years ago. my friend and I were on a hiking trip into a remote lake. he forgot about the bear spray canister in his pack. then about halfway into the area. he said his back was getting hot. really warm . he suddenly took that pack off looked inside carefully. the seal on that bear canister actually leaked. all the items in that pack were covered with the spray.I agree with what 45acp says . the only bear spray I trust is the leaded kind.

Buddy of mine had a run in with some wolves or coyotes in algonquin park on fathers day weekend. He was sleeping in a hammock when a pack of dog type animals came through his camp, one poked its nose along his hammock smelling under the fly. He shouted and they took off. He was equipped with the recalled product (i sent him the link the op shared just after his trip). He was pissed Sail didn't contact him to inform him of the recall lol
