Bear Down

um there is a winch mount in the rock box but no winch as of YET.....and sure you can have my truck, my guns, and the quad.....right after you pry them from my cold dead hands bud haha

How would you mount that? Would you put a steel plate between the outside of the box behind the cab and drill mounting holes straight through the box?
 
weld a supported cross beam in the frame rails mount winch to it then cut out a hole around the same size as a roller fairlead in the cab side of the box then run your winch cable through it and out the box similer to what flat bed tow trucks have installed
 
depends on what type of box you have and were you want the winch, I have a loggers box AKA rock box, there 1/4" plate steel and as heavy as they come I would just build a bracket that lifted the winch about 6" above the bed so I wasnt dragging cable along the bed and put a removable pully wheel off the back, I would mount the winch bracket in the front of bed against the front wall and on the floor as well and she would hold .

as for my mouthy comment about getting stuck ...well heres a pic from easter sunday for yea Ted haha

I actually think it might be pretty handy in a pu box. For $69.95 with remote control, a snatch block, cable and hook, I don't know how a guy can go wrong.

Looks like it would be perfect for a quad. At that price you could put one on each end! :D

Well boys and girls, it's a little disapointing. official measurement without the drying period is 19 8/16ths just missed B&C, maybe next time. all that fat sure made his head look more massive than the skull really was I guess. Still proud of him though as he is my biggest

we went scouting for bears as well today, didnt see any bears yet but any day now and a good thing I own a REAL truck my trail has a swamp issue this spring!

in case anyones wondering theres 8" of lift on 38.5 super swamper tires pushed by a big block ...the bear can run but he will only die tired this year haha
