I can't agree more, there's nothing more important then scent when your trying to trap or hunt a smart animal. Had a old local trapper come to trap a problem beaver on crown land behind my camp, he had rubber boots, to this day I swear it was his wife who stood on the side of the pond in regular shoes who tipped off the beaver by scent! that beaver set off every trap the old man set untill he told the wife one weekend to stay in the truck in my driveway! (My suggestion)
Gloves are also a good idea, or atleast rub your hands on local vegetation to cover up your scent.
