so, for one bear paw one needs:
- a wheelbarrow of onions and leeks
- a bushel of apples
- a year's worth of grouse
- various sauces in warehouse size packaging
My wife used to make them Chinese style braised in red sauce as she called it. I would skind them, leaving as much fatty pad as I could on the bottom, remove the claws and wash them well before handing them over to her.
