Bear sighting IN ottawa

well my wife was up around tunneys pasture in the heart of Ottawa last week and guess what the place was co-ordined off by LEOs as they tried to subdue a bear cub i still cant beleive i didnt hear about this sooner apparently it was on the front of the sun or citizan anyone got a copy ? anyway hopefully this is just an isolated incident LOL
 
yes well hopefully te bear CUB is just an isolated incident we want adult bears to start rampaging the cities LOL
 
Before going north to open our camp end of May a farmer stated he saw a bear in a tree while he was cutting wood. This was in the Kitchener Waterloo area and we thought he may of been in the sauce. The bear was seen in a KW area a few more times after that time. There has been no sighting lately and I bet he was taken care of? This spring we saw the most bear ever around our camp, wounder why?????
 
I have relatives in Smiths Falls, Franktown, Perth and I know the area west of Ottawa has a generous bear population, therefore you can expect that bear densities south, north and east must also be good.

Thus a bear wandering into urban areas cannot be considered surprising, especially when you think of the urban sprawl...

The correct answer of course is to spend tax payer $$$ relocating the poor beasts. ;)

hooray,,yeehaa...I still dream about that 500 pounder sitting on the lether couch with the yuppies..OH, and God willing may the coyotes infest like ants too. Wanta stick their noses where they dont belong(hunting) then let them enjoy

The doulbe standard between the authorities reactions to problem bears in the North/South Ontario is amazing. In the south its like an armed standoff when a bear is seen in town. A nuicance bear is either shot or trapped immediately. God forbid it hurt anyone.

In the north, the reaction is usually nothing. Or if your really lucky the cops will drive around and then report there is nothing to report. It isnt uncommon for a MNR bear trap to be located with in eyesight of a school yard in a northern community. How do you think that would go over in the south?????

I guess a bear in Ottawa is more dangerous than a bear in Mattawa, and not nearly as many votes to be bought up here either.
 
Wow, you have bears down there... yawn. Just one?

Why don't you start feeding him liberals? He'd get good and fat down there, but does run the chance of rotting from the inside out.
 
Thats hilarious Foxer! Somebody should record that and send it out to some radio stations, a lot of them will play parody songs, especially if they poke fun at the government. Can anyone on here sing?
