Bearcat or .....

S&W 617? I'm not a serious match type shooter but reasonable plinker.... Thought of the Bearcat as my wife is of slight build but don't want to pass by the Smith if it has the accuracy dept nailed down.

Any experiences with either? CC is on the countertop waiting to pull the trigger on one or the other. Reward for spring cleaning for the last 3 days.....

I would go for the 617. It is not a large handled piece - your wife would have to have some really tiny hands, to not be able to hold it comfortably. I have the Hogue rubber grips on mine ($30) and that slims the grip down considerably. It would probably be more comfortable for you to shoot, too - the Bearcat is really small. Accuracy wise - I find my 617 as accurate as any .22 I have. The Bearcat is cute and it may be nice to own, but if I had to make a choice between the two, I'd be buying the 617.

Bearcat is very small. My grandson outgrew it at age 12 and now shoots the Single Six.

Buy the 617.
