I am sure they agree with what Remington "stands for" and are happy they have many gun makers in the USA to choose from...
But Remington is NO WHERE near the "prestige" they used to have, sell outs, many, many quality control issues and so on. Why do you think they older Rems are the ones most sought after?
Sadly tho...many of Americans classic gun makers are on this route...cheaper projects for money money, quality is going down the drain.
No one wants/will buy a "new" Marlin lever gun...they pretty much do not work out of the box...the first and last "new" Remington I bought was an 870 Tactical which cost me close to $500...bought it when I turned 18 (now almost 5 years ago) when and got my PAL, my first gun...and it rusted to #### on me within 3 hours of using it during a LIGHT RAIN...inside the barrel and out. What a disappointment. I now only buy/want older models from them.
