Well...it was too hot to do anything and I was bored.

Quick root through the shed turned up some JB weld, Kiwi boot polish and a box cutter :)
Found the drill in the bathroom cupboard. Quick look at a couple of pics on the innernet and have at er.

Always had a bit of daylight under the heel of the receiver on the Boyds....time to fix that.

Woops !! Don't know how I missed that :) But I will fill it sometime later on. Right now all the daylight has gone and that's good enough for me.

The whole thing turned out better than I expected apart from the gaping chasm :)
No daylight and not too much tidying up to do.
Used a coat hanger for the front thingy tension, and it locks up nice and tight and passes the trigger test thing as well...
Life is good :)
Going to leave it for 7 days before shooting ( mans gotta work ) so it should be well cured by then.

Nice! These guys look so much nicer dressed in walnut. The Boyd's stocks are nice to. Lots of material to work with. Looks like the metal is painted/coated. If so, what did you use?

cheers,

I'm so cheap I probably just used some old Krylon rattle can
Actually, I do remember heating some bits up and throwing em into a jug of old motor oil.
What ever I did cost nothing........just the way I like it. Gives me more cash for powder and stuff.
Theres an old truck on me neighbours lot, pretty sure I saw a cheek riser in there :)
