So I got to bedding this new stock last night. Thought I'd share here because there are a couple things other people might want to note before doing theirs.

It turned out not bad, the tang area isn't great because the bedding got to thin. If I was to do over I'd remove a bit of material to allow for a thicker layer. The cutout for the safety should be filled with clay putty as well. I managed to get it clean but it was tricky and if it was missed you might get the thing locked in. Another area to pay attention to is the roundish cutout for the bolt release pin. I put scotch tape over it and it turned out ok. You have to drill a small shallow hole for the pin after...look at the factory stock.

Here is the action after the shoe polish is buffed off. I put two layers of painters tape on the recoil lug between it and the action.

A bit of the bedding lifted here, gouge that bottom out a bit and it would look better. I'm still going to do a bit of work with body filler here. Notice the square corners...they look weird.

Very nice work.

To each of their own I prefer to use surgical tube to apply constant pressure / tension while it's cure instead of zip ties.

I was hoping you'd see this before getting around to yours, interested to see if yours ends up the same at the tang.

Whats your plan for paint?

I popped it out last night. My tang ended up the same as yours, it made contact on the flats forward and back of the hole.
I use armacoat on my stocks and will on this one, but the next time I need more paint I'm going to try endura. The armacoat is just getting too expensive for me.

I ordered my stock with aluminum pillars cast in from wildcat. I always use acraglas gel, but mix in stainless powder on jobs like this that will be painted on the edges that show.

I found endura to be very brittle. Chips when pulling off the masking, as well as when you bump the stock on things.

Not sure if anyone has used the Score High Pro Bed product before, it's what I used here and it's the nicest bedding compound I've used. It's incredibly thick, I usually add fumed silica for thickening but with this, you'd never be able to work it in. This stuff is full of fibers as well, I'm guessing it's VERY tough!

Some pictures of the finished product. I added a little bit of extra weight back in with the barrel profile. The rifle without the scope or bases is right at 6lbs. Still waiting on the Atlasworks bottom metal, and I should hunt down a metal bolt shroud.
