My father and I are in the process of bedding a 12FVSS for the first time, so if you see anything wrong (I'm especially puzzled by the magazine body still attached to the action) PLEASE let me know.
As far as we can tell all of the prep is done, here are some pictures to illustrate.
Forward point of contact: We sanded it down and then ripped it up/drilled some holes with the dremel for additional grip. We're planning on filling the deep recesses on the left and right sides of the pillar, is this a good idea?
Recoil Lug Contact: We cut up the side of the front point of contact that will be coming into contact with the rear face of the recoil lug. Enough cutting?
Rear point of contact: Once again it was sanded and ravaged by the dremel. We filled the trigger area partially with play dough, hopefully this will force all the excess devcon forwards into the mag well or up onto the sides of the stock.
Bottom view of action: We taped up the holes and slots around the trigger contact on action. I used some play dough to fill in the slot that the bolt release (correct name?) slips through.
Right side of action: Should we cover the entire magazine body? Is it easy to remove?
Left side of the action
Any tips you experienced guys can give would be great!
