If you absolutely have to have a kit, Brownell's Accraglass Gel is easy to use. Even then; (and I know it isn't what you want to hear) I'd throw away the blue crap they call a release agent and use floor wax.
The kits used to be every-where but it seems like not so much anymore. I got my last one from Rusty Woods when I was looking to do a little remedial bedding on an existing job. Otherwise Devcon all the way.
Rustywoods trading co. In Mission BC ( as dogleg said)carries acraglas kits as does X reload . There is also the miles Gilbert kit by wheeler. I've used both with great results. I do prefer kiwi neutral shoe polish( as a release agent) to the stuff in the kits.
As mentioned above, Cabelas handles a product called "Miles Gilbert Bedrock Epoxy Bedding Kit", a bit spendy but works well. My kit is just about all used up, no failures.
For years I just went to an industrial supply store and bought 2 part Devcon. Aluminum or Stainless and I think they even have a Titanium one. Bedrock is probably best for gluing, but it is very slow curing. Not much different than Acraglas. If anyone ever mentions that they couldn't lift the action out of their stock after doing a bedding job, a good bet is that they used Acraglas. I used paste wax for a release agent.
Devcon works for bedding.
Haven't used it but the best is a product from New Zealand, MatchGrade Rifle Bedding Compound.
Both kits are 2 part epoxies anyway soooo... looks like the wheeler kit provides microballoons while the brownells resin is premixed with an additive. both about the same $$ - I have not used the wheeler kit, but I do not like the brownells version. That blue stuff works fine for simple surfaces, but is useless for a complex part or action.
Williams Arms in Port Perry ON. Stock the brownells stuff. (not sure where you are)
I have about 1/2 a Brownells kit left over just collecting dust - you can have it!
Myself, I use either the G2 or West System lines of epoxies with either a silica based filler or microfiber filler depending on the properties I want. I have used microballoons before & do not like them at all.
What is handy about the kits are the dye packets, I have yet to find a source of dye in small quantities that can be used to tint epoxy.
Last one I did was acraglas gel with atomized stainless that I mixed in. Amazon had/has devcon and acraglas. I used the shoe polish so far with two rifles and both released great.
I used the Wheeler kit on one rifle. It was ok, but I used Devcon on the second rifle and results were as good or better. Ditto on the Wheeler "release agent". It's not great IMO. You're better off to use neutral shoe polish. I'd suggest some experimenting before you try bedding a rifle you're really attached to.
I don't like the myles Gilbert, it seems very weak, like if you twist the barrel as you are pulling it out it may crack.. I used it twice on very small bed jobs.
Devcon 10110 with Kiwi is the way to go man, I did a full bed job with it and it worked awesome. Slipped right out after the cure, and the stuff is tough when dried and the perfect consistency to work with.
