Bedding my M14

I am thinking of embarking on a bedding project for my M14 - I have a USGI walnut stock and was wondering if there was any special stuff I need to be aware of or is it fairly straightforward.

Any advice or tips most appreciated.

i did mine and it came out pretty good, considering it was my first attempt. I bedded a boyds stock that came with the bedding cuts which is apparently alot more work than a USGI stock. i ended up using acraglass a buddy gave me that was left over from when he did his. i quickly realized it wasn't enough so i had to use JB weld to finish it off. you won't have this issue as the bedding cuts in the boyds stock are pretty big and require you to do it in stages.

Thanks for the tips and links guys - looks a bit more involved than I was thinking but should be do-able with a bit of care and preparation.

Just take your time an do it stages if that makes it easier for you.Good luck an fave fun with it its not that bad to do

Just remember once it is bedded not to remove the action from the stock, until you want to rebed.
