I recently purchased a Rem 700 SPS in 243. It is shooting terrible. I have removed the pressure point and free floated, did not help. Now I am thinking of bedding it.

I have never bedded a non wood stock before. I have Devcon 10110 and Accraglass. Has anyone done one of these and did it help work?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

"...shooting terrible..." What bullet weight? The SPS has a 1 in 9 1/8 rifling twist. It'll prefer heavy bullets. 85 grains and up.
Bed it with the Acraglas kit the same way you do a wood stock. Roughen the inside with a bit of sand paper first. There's no guarantee that it'll make any difference though. You may have to put the pressure point back in too. Leave that until after you've done the bedding and shot it again with heavy bullets.
Do a trigger job too.

I took my dremel and put holes in the braces around the recoil lug slot. The bedding ran through from both sides of brace and bonded really well.RB
