Bear meat is Good. Spring bear is lean, grind it, add only some garlic and pepper for great bbq'd hamburgers, go from there.

Personally, spring bear is too lean to cook as roasts/steaks, just mpo. Fall bear? Different story. Look for blueberries. That's where they'll be in the fall.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I can tell you that my beginnings almost 30 years ago were more humble than yours.....

The only advice I will give you is that the experience is the true trophy.... Just do what you do and stay happy.... You are off to a great start...

Outstanding. Did they change the rules for orange in SK...do you have to wear it for small game?
