I've learned from you that the best way to clean brass is with a tumbler with SS media.

I've heard that ultrasonic cleaning is the easiest (effort wise) - is this true?

How clean are you able to get the brass inside / outside / primer pockets with just this method? I'd love to see any pics you might have.

Go to the 6mmbr website and find the story about sonic cleaners, there are many pics about the process. Sonic cleaners work very well but only do a limited number of brass per batch. FS
 
i used the steps from 6mmbr on some brass and it only got sort of clean, good enough to use but i wanted it cleaner and shinyier. I would probably use it if i was doing precision rifle brass though.

got the SS media setup, couldnt be happier. the stuff is CLEAN
 
go stainless...open tumbler add brass (mine holds 250, 30-06 )add water, lemon shine , a splash of soap , put tumbler on timer ,come back in 3hrs or so depending on how dirty brass are ,rinse in hot water till no more soap ..stand in shell holder ......how easy is that and they are better than new clean and shinny ....had a sonic did 25 rounds at a time had to stay with then till they are clean 5-10 4 minute cycles per batch ....they come out clean ...but not like stainless....the cost to set up may be more but you can clean way more with the stainless for the money spent .....


and if you realy want to see SS clean throw in a rusty pair of pliers by them self ...you know the ones you find out hunting that dont open ..tumble over night ..they look like new no more rust ..
