I just got a new Tikka and I just want to know if I have to "clean" it before using it and if so with what kind of product?

It is a good practice to run a patch through the bore before every time you use a rifle, particularly when it is new. Any material left over from chambering could contribute to scoring if not cleaned out.

I'm finally going to try "gun Juice" on a new barrel, I have a pretty good idea how long the last barrel lasted and how it cleaned. I figure it's worth tying before passing judgement.

Much like, "what is the best ammo" you can get many different opinions.
I bought 3 Savage 12 class rifles and the gun shop I buy from puts a little Card in that states this;
Clean well before firing, I used G96 3 in 1. For the first 5 shots clean after each shot. For the next 15 shots clean the barrel after each 3 shot group.

Cleaning the barrel as stated above means, running a solvent soaked patch through the barrel, then saturate a nylon brush with solvent and make 5 passes through the barrel( brush should pass out through the end of the barrel and then go back, don't reverse part way). Run wet solvent patches again through the barrel until they come clean. Next run dry patches through the barrel until the chamber and the barrel are completely dry.
I use a Dewey rod that is coated and the rod is larger than the brass fittings, that way they don't nick the crown at the end of the barrel. All cleaning from action end.
This works. My 3 Savages shoot well. 308 -.204" @ 100yds. 223 - .250" @ 200yds. 6.5-284 is .212" @ 100yds.
my 2 cents
