Beginner reloading books/manual

As my gun room is slowly becoming complete I want to start reloading my own bullets (30-06), as a hobby as well as a way to save money (range days are getting pretty expensive) I have been googling reloading books with quite a few to choose from and not really sure what would be considered a "good" one to choose. I fugure why not ask the experts, which book was most helpful to you? do you have any recommendations for a specific?
A link to an online order service would be appreciated, unless you have a good one lieing around you want to sell to me

I have a seirra manual that has some good info in it to get started, but I have heard on here that the Lee Modern Reloading book is a good buy. At only 15-20 bucks I think I will be grabbing one too.
 
Modern Reloading is a good buy for what you get... but you need other sources because Richard Lee will have non-discerning reader convinced that his products are the best in all situations when they are not.
 
NRA reloading book

If you ever come across a NRA reloading book buy it. The front of the book just says HANDLOADING. I have the Thrid printing printed in 1989. It has a summury of alot of the reloading books on one page. For the 30-06 it lists 62 different loads for the 06 from 110 grain to 220 grain plus Cast bullets.

What universe is that book only $15? Even in the states its about $20 let alone the $35 shipping they want. lol I picked up the Lyman 49th edition as my first book and its got what you need. Think it was $35 or so from my local shop. Make sure you buy something up to date as info does change.

Your universe, WSS 17.99, pretty sure that falls into the 15-20 category.:HR:
 
For the novice or established reloader, I think that the LEE book is a great start.

That being said, you can never have too many relaoding books.

For a general reloading How-to, go with The ABC's of Reloading. For a manual, buy the Lyman book. Either will be found in your local gun shop.
When you get that far, look into one of the Beginner's Kits. Prefer RCBS myself, but any of 'em will give you everything you need less dies and shell holder. The RCBS kit comes with a Speer manual, but buy the Lyman book too. Bullet and powder maker's books only give data for their products. The Lyman has more loads using more powders and bullet weight than any manufacturer's book. Far more versatile.
 
Lee Modern Reloading is available for as low as $12.48 online. I bought one at that price myself this year for a friend at Lee Factory Sales.
 
ABCs of Reloading and the Lyman manuals are among the best out there for new reloaders.

The ramblings of the senile Richard Lee in the LEE book leaves me cold.
 
I have the Lee book, interesting and has lots of obscure calibers. Also have the sierra, hornady and nosler manuals, lots of good techniques and info in all of them. I use data from all of them and check the bullet and powder manufacture's websites for new data as well. You can never have too much info.
The starter kits are ok. I would try and find an experienced reloader and pick his brain for what works the best. Lots of good info available right here too..:eek:
