This should make you laugh....
I've been here at CGN for 2.4 years and haven't introduced myself.
I'm 44 years old. I got into firearms after I moved to a rental unit on a farm. Coyotes, which I didn't even know existed here, ate the landlord's poodle. I decided to fight back. I branched out from there.....
I bought my first firearm (a Tikka T3 Tactical .223), after a PAL/RPAL/Hunter course bonanza.
I work in the auto industry as a unionized line worker. For how much longer I don't know....
I have a technical/problem solving/communication background yet a grade 12 education. Motorsports engineering was an informal but significant part of my past.
I write poetry. I play guitar and Battlefield 2. I'm actually NOT single for the first time in 4 years. I've studied Vehicle Dynamics and Family Law.
My ex signed for my license without complaint.
In the last 3 years, I've bought some firearms, learned safety, marksmanship, reloading, ballistics, law and politics. My 12 year old daughter knows how to clear a firearm.
She also knows how to track an animal through grass, dirt and snow.
I compete in handgun, Service Rifle and precision/sniper competitions. I have hit man-sized targets at 1km with a hunting rifle, and I have done 0.2s doubles at 5m with my pistol. I'm very much still learning.
I believe strongly in freedom for those who hurt no one, and punishment for those who do.
I'm probably a libertarian, but Harper is grudgingly the best option. I worry what he'll do with a majority.
I also believe in root cause remedy instead of bandaid solutions.
Mayor Miller hates me, I think. I send him nasty emails.......
I figure I'm on about 6 or 7 "bad boy" lists because I'd rather speak up than shut up.
I've enjoyed my time here at CGN, and I want to elevate all this to the next level.
I admit it. It strokes my ego to have a letter printed, or to have people here think I have a clue. The world out there is rough, and it's hard to find kindred spirits.
I want to fight for freedom. I'm not a gun lover. I love the feeling of being trusted with guns, however. I love the feeling of fighting for what I believe in. I'm terribly idealistic.
It's been tough here at CGN because there are many different types of people and......my opinions are admittedly......unique.
I think we need to believe in people again....
I've met amazing people in this business. Gun owners are amazing, and I refuse to allow those people to be insulted by those with a disarmament agenda.
My latest gig is study on international law and politics related to globalization and the homogeniztion of societies and how firearms are NOT part of the global vision.
I want to make a positive difference.
I'm glad to meet you all (even those who accuse me of being a Liberal...LOL)
