"Belgian Browning semi-auto in .243 win"

Hey guys,

Wasn't sure where to post this, but this forum seemed to make sure the most sense. My dad hooked me up with this guy who's unloading a few rifles and I'm going to check em out in about a week though. I guess the guy was a bit of a fudd and wasn't sure what model his rifles are, but one of them he mentioned was a "Belgian Browning semi-auto in .243 win." I've looked all over and I can't seem to figure out what that could be. Is that a common set-up? Any ideas what the guy could possibly mean? I'll find out eventually when I take a look at them but just wondering if you guys had any inklings.

All depends on condition and maybe when it was made. I'll leave the Google to you. There are some in the ee.

I have a thread on underappreciated firearms. The Bar is one of them. Guys list them for sale for $1K, but they sell for $600 ish. The 243 was not common in the Bar, so maybe $650-700.....rifle, bases, rings. Optic.....if it's a old Leper....adds no value.

I have a couple, I love them. Buddy has one in .243 and never jams, low recoil, and very accurate. I'd pursue the deal, sweet rifle.

The BAR's seem to like icescream and doughnutzs.
They tend to be a tad obese.

A great score if she pans out.

I have one in 300WM and really like it . They are quite accurate for a semi . Guys are spending a lot getting a black rifle that shoots as good as a BAR
