Belgian Browning take down, which model?

Hello all, I have just acquired a Belgian made browning take down. I do not know which model it is. Instead of loading into the side of the butt it loads by taking out a rod on the butt plate and inserting the rounds through the top of the pistol grip. It is also very short with the tiniest sliver of a fore stock. The gun is near mint condition with lots of rifling left in her. Can anyone tell me which model this is and it's rough worth?

I can't help you on the worth, but I own one and it's an excellent grouse and rabbit gun. I've always just heard them called the Browning Semi .22. They show up in the EE every once in a while. You could see if you can find a price on one from there.

Grade,? blue or nickel;, engraved, wood grade, checkering? sights (fold rear, post bead front)?

Vince, the real early ones had a slim forwood.
Blue book says " early top loaders were manuf. from
1914 to aprox. 1955 modern loaders 1956-74 by FN and
1976 and later in Japan.
I would presume yours is F.N.
Is there any letters in the serial number?

It sounds like one of the earliest FN semi-auto takedowns; that's the way they were fed.

Yup, you can tell by the lack of serial number on the bottom right receiver. Mine is far from mint. I got her for about 120 or so.
