Out to the range today with my Ruger number one, recently re-tuned as to forend pressure. My reloads with 50 gr bullets perform OK and shoot better for my son than they do for me. OH, to be 50 again!.
Switched to Bell factory loads with 55 grain bullets. Groups opened up to over an inch at 100 yds and 4 of the first shots fired resulted in badly split case necks and shoulders. Ammo made in Bosnia and imported by Bell.
Should I pull the bullets and try to anneal the cases? Looks like the primers are crimped in. Really not worth the aggravation, is it?
Good news is that I only have 2 boxes of these.
