Has anyone bought a bell and carlson stock? I was looking at them and they have snow camo. Might have to get it for my a-bolt 22-250.Opinions and comments welcome.

I got one on my BAR, love it. Two of my hunting buddies have them on their main rifles and love them too. Very little fussing about to install, good feel, heck other than wood I'd say they are about the nicest synth. stock around. But i'm biased because I like mine, oh we all shoot magnums, no problems what so ever.

purchased a B&C stock for a Win. 70 short action that was pillar bedded in grenn with black spiderweb. Bought it from Midway but needed to ship it to an American address.

Very pleased with the product, looking at another stock for a Cooey Model 71 that shoots very well and deserves better than the birch that it has now. ;)

Got one for a P17 that I customized, in fact it was the only company that made one. Had to be ordered from the company itself in the U.S. Very nice stock, I was quite pleased with it.

Have had one on my custom built 8mm Magnum for 20 years now. Excellent stock, it needs to be repainted (my call) due to a lot of use. Looking for someone that could do that. Would buy another without hesitation.

I have one that was advertised as an 11/87 in two piece, all I had to do to fit it to an 1100 was to take out a spacer plate that was in white, probably just for the switch. Good and solid and no more worries when crouched in the duck pond, with the butt in the water. I also have one on a 338-08 mauser conversion, very stable and durable, it takes a real beating going up and down the tree stand, getting soaking wet in the rain etc.
I used to curl up my nose at B&C composite injection moulded stocks. Not any more.
They may not be as pretty as some of the more expensive stocks and they are a real PAITA to bed if you want to but in both cases didn't have to do any fitting. Well on the mauser, I did install pillars on both stock bolts, the rear is slightly overlength like the military stocks and the front is just a piece of 1/2 NF ready rod with a hole and inletted bolt seat lip then screwed into the front mount hole, opened and drilled and tapped to size. Oh also smeared the threads with "gorrila glue" before installing. Nothing else wa done. Been there for years and is used extensively every year with snorty 225grn bullets.

I have had a Medalist on my 9.3x62 FN for some time. I used it on a hunt in Africa some time back and was quite pleased. That said, I prefer Mark Basner's stocks from High Tech Specialties as they are much lighter and stiffer. I just finished fitting one to my Ruger 35 Whelen. Not sure where to get one up here in Canada though I know Brownell's sells them.
