I have one that was advertised as an 11/87 in two piece, all I had to do to fit it to an 1100 was to take out a spacer plate that was in white, probably just for the switch. Good and solid and no more worries when crouched in the duck pond, with the butt in the water. I also have one on a 338-08 mauser conversion, very stable and durable, it takes a real beating going up and down the tree stand, getting soaking wet in the rain etc.
I used to curl up my nose at B&C composite injection moulded stocks. Not any more.
They may not be as pretty as some of the more expensive stocks and they are a real PAITA to bed if you want to but in both cases didn't have to do any fitting. Well on the mauser, I did install pillars on both stock bolts, the rear is slightly overlength like the military stocks and the front is just a piece of 1/2 NF ready rod with a hole and inletted bolt seat lip then screwed into the front mount hole, opened and drilled and tapped to size. Oh also smeared the threads with "gorrila glue" before installing. Nothing else wa done. Been there for years and is used extensively every year with snorty 225grn bullets.
