Bell and carlson stocks

I've purchased a long action b&c long range tactical, thumb hook style. I love the grip and the light weight. Just curious about hs presicion detatchable magazine kit. Not familiar enough with different styles of stocks to know if it's going to work. Love the kit, the price is wow.
 
Holly smokers! Canada Express post is definitely getting backlogged. My priority express order from a place 15 hrs away from where I live is 7 days late already. Total wait time so far is 2 weeks when usually 4-5 days. Sheesh.
 
Canada Post is way behind. Everyone is ordering online now. My sister works for Canada Post and they've been going in on Saturdays and Sundays to try and keep up to demand.
 
B&C stocks are very good value when compared to what one would pay for a McMillan or Brown Presicion. They are well built and stiff but are not particularly light esp the Medalist.

Ya they are super busy for sure. And the neibour was talking with a purolator driver and he stated its busier than Christmas. And lots of purolator staff took 10 days off to self isolate. Interesting situations in these interesting times.
 
I want to give a huge shout out and incredible thumbs up to the team at bighorn sales!!! They went over and above everything, when my order was extremely delayed, but not lost! I will always chose the bighorn sales team 1st when I order more parts! They were incredibley nice and stayed in contact with me when they didn't have to.

I like B&C if your application doesn't need super lightweight. They are stiff and solid at a reasonable price point. I like the thick grip.

Don't know if the HS bottom metal will work. I boycott HS precision since they decided to use an endorsement from Lon Horiuchi in their advertising. I guess headshotting a mother as she holds her infant daughter makes you qualified to endorse HS products.
 
Other than the cheap legacy drop in detachable kit( which does work well, just flimsy-ish plastic), you are going to have to inlet any and all bottom metal kits.

I have a badger ordinance m4 kit in a bell&carlson varminter, remmy 700 short action, 308. Substantial milling required and some bedding (filling).

I just recieved a magpul "bottom metal" (not so flimsy plastic) that i will be in letting in another B&C tactical varmint stock. Not as much meat to come out compared to the badger kit. No where near as robust mind you.

If you are going to do the work, i would suggest a router type guide for your dremel (live and learn on that one). Or if you have a smithy do the work expect a $250-$300 bill.
 
Any idea why they don't offer there stocks for ruger mk11 and mk1 rifles.. seems strange as there are so many rugers out there. They seem to make a stock for everything but rugers.
 
I just got a B&C stock for my rifle too and so far I am very impressed with it. It's a bit on the heavier than I expected but I figure that 1. it will help with recoil and 2. if you're too weak to carry it don't be a baby it will help you build some muscle :p

the same reason mcmillan stopped to inlet them. too many differences to make sure you can drop and fit one properly. the worst not even for left handed people ...

but ruger own stocks are not that bad for plastic but i prefer the laminated on them.

Probably something about the recoil lug and angled front screw.
