I’d be more likely to give wildcat a try if they had checkering and a few more patterns. I have mostly M70s and I can’t learn to love their featherweight pattern. May give one a try once they get the brown precision pattern going. Nice to try and support a canadian manufacturer but so far mcmillan gets my money because they make lots of damn nice stocks.
who charges import fees for McMillan?

I have one K&S did, including bedding, and customising (made it shorter) 800$. If you talk to wildcat he will do custom work, even told me he would do a custom one for a Brand not listed on his site, for about the same price.
The black paint used on mine is on par with checkering, imho. I have used it in rain and snow and its quite grippy, its a flat-semi paint, not like any other stock i have used. Didnt ask what it was, but better than the old b&c checkering.
I have the same tastes, I really like checkering for cosmetics just as much as functionality
does mcmillan mold the checkering or laser cut it? I'm guessing the resins used in these stocks are too hard to cut out like with wood checkering?
Yea, it looks horrible. Interestingly enough, I held the wood stock, complete with checkering that became the base for the mould for this stock.
