Belt Advice: CR Speed and Double Alpha...

I'm an IDPA rookie and I'm looking to buy my rig this week.

Anyone have any experience with the Double Alpha Academy Competition or the CR Speed IDPA belt?

Does the inner belt go in the pant loops and the outer not? Do you wear the whole thing over another belt? I'm not 100% on the arrangement.

Any help is appreciated!
 
Both are good choices. There is an inner belt that goes through loops with velcro on the ouside, then outer stiff belt goes over top and secures to the Velcro. I would caution you to check the IDPA rules though as i dont believe those style of belts are allowed. I shoot IDPA and use a 1 piece belt through the loops
 
Inner goes on like a regular belt would. You remove your normal belt and put in the inner. Once that's where you want it you put the outer on which attaches with velcro.
 
CR Speed does make a one piece IDPA belt.

From the pics I see it would appear to be the normal outer belt without the full length Velcro hook lining.

Your belt must pass through all except for two belt loops,

Just wanted to say thanks for the helpful feedback.

I'll go with the CR Speed from Freedom Ventures. I'll be placing the order tonight for the belt and a mag pouch. (Holster already on its way!)
