Beltfed .22 AR-15 upper ( Lakeside machine )

full auto

The upper in the pic of post #1 is one of the biggest POS ever.
(To the OP: PLEASE do not take any offense, I understand
your excitement in the novelty finding).

What you want (but cannot have because they won't sell it to you) is
the upper made by Tactical Innovations that uses the American 180 mags.
Everything else is lame or doesn't work and is not worth even mentioning.

These would never be allowed into the country. they need the auto sear of an m16 to function. I don`t think too many semi colts with an outo sear are available in canada.
It would be great if someone could make an upper run an american 180 magazine or a calico mag right nere in canada. Or for that matter a whole rifle with either of those magazines.

semiauto beltfeds have no limits and are non restricted.

so lets make one that's not on the AR platform and have some real gopher killin fun with them.

This has already been done... :) The same company that makes the Razorback upper (Lakeside Guns) use to make a beltfed rimfire rifle called the "Vindicator BF1". It was available in both a Semi-Auto model or a FA model for those Class-3 dealers. It was a complete rifle and not a conversion for another gun.
Lakeside does not make them anymore but all rifles that had left where sold to another company called Venture, LLC located in Arizona. They were available in 22LR and 17 Mach 2. The prices are very steep though. Probably because they were a limited production. Think only 61 were made.

Here is a link to their website. http://www.vindicatorbf1.com/

Here is a youtube link to a video of FA one. Vindicator BF1 F/A

Sure would be nice to have...but not for that price. ;)

Armtac would like to restart this post, we are in the talk with Lakeside to bring the razorback into Canada including hte Miniature M1919A4.

We are hoping to determine what barrel length people are looking for in a belt felt .22 ar15 upper.

Following this with interest.

Having had discussion with Eric at Lakeside a while back, it was not promising, but if a business is willing to stand up and place an order, I'm willing to see what they're able to bring to market.

Navyshooter

Yep, we are pretty much set in stone with Lakeside and we will be representing them in bringing the upper in fairly soon. Just need to determine what barrel length people would like to see.

Thx

Chris

I would say which ever is the shortest barrel length without making it restrictred.. ;):D

Now have you found out from the powers that be at the RCMP if they would even allow either the Razorback upper or the mini 1919a4 into the country?

Yep Razorback is allow to be in Canada, however, regardless the length of barrel, it will be restricted since you are using it with your AR15 lower.

You have my complete & utmost attention...

10" barrels.

I have a copy of a letter from the RCMP Lab in Ottawa (Mr. G. Dare) stating to me that a semi-automatic, Belt-fed .22 rimfire that meets the standard OAL criteria would be non restricted.

And there would be no limit on the belt.

That is fantastic news as long as they stick with that. We all know how the RCMP can change their mind without a reason. I really want one of those Razorbacks. The newest models Eric has came out with look cool. :)

Did you tell them it would be mounted on an AR lower ?

That would be for a whole belt-fed firearm, let's say a new design. Since you have to mount this one to an AR lower, once assembled, it will be restricted. My 10.5" AR upper is not restricted, but since I use it on a restricted lower, I canno't take it elsewhere than the range.

You may be better to import without a barrel. a short barreled upper may be more difficult to get an export permit. They change with a set screw on the razorback and are quick release on the lm7. as it will be restricted, may as well have a shorter barrel.

I have one of each. and have to say that the razorback is not a peice of crap that some people have mentioned.. yes it is finicky and they really are fussy about ammo. buy all the clear tray blazer you can get.
I have seen alot of lm7's run full auto so they cannot be that troublesome.
