Bench on sale ** update **

I just picked one of these up today(blue CT bench) to go along with my new rockchucker kit
. They had one assembled in the store and it seemed good and sturdy and I'm sure once it is bolted down it will be great or maybe with a little tweaking it will. Any suggestions about the top, should I replace it with anything or leave as is (this is assuming it is sturdy enough as it came). Thanks Slayer

I just put mine together. Does anyone have a hint as to how to get the drawer into the sliders? I've assembled the drawers but can't get the drawers to slide into their rails.
check the position.....if you put right and left sliders in opposite position, it will not move

best thing i found to do with these benches was lag bolt my press to a 2x4 and use bessey clamps to secure it to the bench top, creates a lot more surface area, which helps a lot. found this out the hard way after ripping the press right out the bench on the first try!! then if you need the whole bench top, just undo the clamps and you're good to go!
I built a 12' long, 2x4 framed, 3x3/4" plywood-topped, 4x4 legged bench for about $130 worth of lumber. It is screwed to the wall, solid as a rock, won't even move a millimeter when doing exciting things with the rockchucker, and could easily support 1000's of lbs.
'Course, it don't advertise for a store that all but gave up selling guns cuz it was too much hassle, but what the heck, at least I can say I built it myself.
